What is Riftbound?

Riftbound is a video game for PC, where you take part in strategic lane-defense battles and can summon an army of elemental creatures and cast spells to defeat waves of enemies.

It offers multiple game modes, with the primary game mode being a rogue-lite action strategy game with deck-building elements

No, Riftbound is not available on Console or Mobile. It is currently a PC-Only title.

Does Riftbound have a story?

There is a light hearted story that plays out as you progress through the levels, and we have been careful to make sure the story elements are seamless and do not get in the way or slow down the core game.

Follow the game on Steam and sign-up to the newsletter for updates.  We have discord server that you can join and leave feedback, hang out and chat with the devs!

What are the inspirations for the game?

Riftbound was primarily inspired by games like Plants vs Zombies, Tapper & Pokémon, but also takes influence from some aspects of ARPG games like Diablo for some enemy encounters.  So if you are looking for games like Plants vs Zombies on PC, then this is the game for you!

Are there difficulty options?

Yes!  There are multiple difficulty options and each difficulty is carefully  balanced and can introduce additional threats (not just damage/health scaling).

This approach has taken more effort while developing the game but means the game can cater to players that want a higher difficulty where strategy and timing is important, while also having a separate casual/story mode that is more relaxed.

Are there accessibility options?

Yes!  We take accessibility in games seriously and want to ensure that the game can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.  The game will include a range of accessibility and comfort options that take Auditory, Visual, Cognitive, Dyslexia and Mobility accessibility into consideration.  Accessibility support and improvements will continue beyond the game launch so if you have any feedback be sure to share it with us!

Is there controller support?

Yes! The game has full controller support (and it works really well) in addition to keyboard & mouse.
